While searching through my room in Taiwan, I came across a very interesting piece of literature. I found a play script that three of my highschool buddies wrote back in freshman year. Those were the good old days, and this play comes out of a semi-realistic story. Ted, Harry, Nick, if you guys can read this: You guys rock!

These guys went to the same high school I did, and so did everyone in this story. To some extent, this story¡¦s true. At the very least, the characters are true people and still alive, I hope!
Time. The present 1997 Ah~the good old days~
Scene 1, Act 1
Setting. At the lobby of Dominican International School. Students were rushing into the school, trying to get into their classrooms before the bell rings. As Kathy Liu -a perfect (? ) 15 year old girl, who was a smart, beautiful, & outstanding student -walks into the lobby, she met Jason Yeh -a tall, skinny 15 vear old with a pair of very attractive & sexy eyes.
Ok, truth is back in freshman year, I liked this girl Kathy. She once impressed me with this report she did for homework and it was very well done. Impressed by her looks and wits, I began to like her. Jason was an ass who liked to pick on me in highschool. I was quite the dork. Keep reading

Jason: (seeing Kathy coming toward him) Hi, Kathy! (in a nice, ,friendly voice)
Jason¡¦s gay.
Kathy: Hi Jason! How¡¦s it going today?
Jason: Fine. How's is your injured leg, is it O.K. now?
Kathy: {feeling a bit shock and warmth} Oh...oh, it's OK now. Thanx for your concern.
(Tony Fai- a 14 years old moron, who very good grades in class due to the sympathy of his teachers, walks into the lobby' and sees Jason and Kathy' talking to each other. But he doesn't catch their attention.)
Not true! Not true! Maybe partially true...
Kathy: I heard that you guys won the game yesterday right? How much you guys win by?
Jason: Oh! yes, of course we won, I was on the team, so how could we lose? I scored all the points. It¡¦s such an easy game. Ha! Ha! Haa!
Kathy: Oh! my god, you are not only my hero, but the he~o for the whole school! Are you free tonight, maybe we can go out to celebrate?
Jason: {looking at his watch) Maybe, I'll will tell you later.
Kathy: OK, I¡¦ll talk to you later! (gets out of the stage)
Tony: (walks up to Jason) Don't lie to Kathy! You ...%XO#+..., you only played for one minute in that game and made 20 turnovers. You suck!!!
I¡¦ll admit, Jason was better than me back then. Sigh...I suck.
Kathy: {hearing this, comes back) Shut up! Tony, this is none of your business. It¡¦s just because you suck, it doesn't mean you have to put down other people to be able to make yourself look better!!! {in a pissed off voice)
Jason: HA! HA! I know I'm the best, the greatest, it is reasonable that you're jealous of me. Ifs OK, I'm not offended, since I'm such a nice guy! HaHaHa !!!
Kathy: Leave him alone Jason, he's just a moron! Lefs go or else we will be late!
Tony: * Sob*

Scene 2, Act 2
Setting. St. Luke -one of the Gr.9 classroom at second floor in D.I.S. During lunchtime, nobody is in the classroom, except Tony.
Why am I all alone?!
Music. School Days:
Tony: (thinking) I'm so unfortunate. Kathy believed in Jason, that ...%XO#+..., rather than me such a nice, old friend. (Sigh)
(Kathy walks in)
Kathy: ¡K
Tony: (notice Kathy coming) Why were you talking with Jason? He's a big liar. "
(A silence follows)
Kathy: What is wrong with that?
(Before Tony could say anything, Jason interrupts in)
Jason: (standing outside the opened window, talking to Kathy) Do you want to stay after school? There is a basketball game against the girls¡¦ team. (with excitement) And I will be in the start-up.
Kathy: {with delight) I'm absolutely going to cheer for you. {facing Tony, in whisper) I¡¦ll can on you on phone later-
Tony: (bumps the table with resentment) Damn ...
Harry, Ted, Nick. You guys must be having the time of your lives writing this.
Scene3,Act3
Setting. At Tony's house at night. He is lying on the bed reading his favorite comic.
I believe at that time was Kenshin.
Music.Unbreak my heart
(RRRRRRRRRing, RRRRRRRRRRing) (Tony picks up the phone)
Tony: H-wai ??
Hahahaha!!! Inside joke. Only kids from DIS would know (and also kids who know Magnus Ip)
Kathy: (on the other side of the phone) Tony! you know, Jason performed so well in the game. He plays in-cre-di-b-ly good. Even though all his shots got blocked, he still looked so cool. (keeps on telling how Jason played in the game for a while)
Tony: Hmmmm¡K(saying to himself) Of course he¡¦ll play well! HE IS PLAYING WITH THE GIRLS!!!
Kathy: Are you still there, Tony?
Tony: (in an unhappy voice) Yeah! Of course!
Kathy: What¡¦s wrong with you again?
Tony: {feeling annoyed) Nothing. If you have nothing else to say, then, BYE!
Kathy: Ton.. (before Kathy could say anything, Tony hangs up the phone)
Tony: (thinking) Why am I treating Kathy so poorly. Well, what the heck? (he faIls asleep)
If only girls would really call me to tell me about their day.
Scene 4, Act 4
Setting. Four day's later, in St. Luke, during afree class period. There are only 2 students in the classroom, Jason and Harry Tseng -a friend of Jason. He is a real genius and a handsome looking guy, except he's too short. They are having a conversation.

They forgot to pick a song here. Tsk tsk tsk. Lack of professionalism
Jason: blah, blah, blah
Harry: Oh blah, blah, blah

(Tony just accidentally passes by the class and overheard their conversation without their notice)
I¡¦m six feet tall damn it! How can I be unnoticed?
Jason: You know what? Kathy seemed to like me very much!
Tony: (thinking) Yeah right! Kathy will never ever like you.
Harry: I-m-p-o-s-s-i-b-l-e! You are such an ulgy looking guy. No girl will ever like you! J Tony: (still just thinking) Harry is really a smart boy...
Jason: I am not lying, she really likes me la!! (the argument lasted for several minutes)
Jason: (in an excited voice) So no matter what, you just don't believing in me. Huh? Right, then, I bet with you that I can let her say I Love You to M-E in less than 3 days.
Harry: Sure? I'm going to win for sure! I'll bet you 1,000 NT!
Jason : OK, deal!
(Both of them left without noticing Tony)
(Tony laughing in an evil way, seems to be thinking of something bad)

Scene 5, Act5
Setting. Next morning, in St. Dominic, another Gr.9 classroom just beside St. Luke. Students were chatting, fooling around the classroom, and creating a huge noise. Jason stands outside the classroom, waving at Kathy, indicating her to come out, too. As Kathy .approaches towards, they began the conversation.
Music. Men should not let women cry (Mandarin)

Jason: (with a shy, weak voice) umm¡KKathy, I have something to tell you¡K
Kathy: (in a joyful way) Yes, I'm listening.
Jason: (even weaker) I, I, I LIKE U!
Kathy: (surprized) WHA T? (so loud that it attracts all the students ' attention for a while)
Jason: sHssss. Don't be so loud.
Kathy: (her face turning red, in a shivering voice) Really? I'm so happy!! I also LOVE you! I don't know what to do now!
Ever notice how back then it was so easy to say that you love someone? What were we thinking???
Jason: YES! OH, Yeh! (does a V-sign with his right hand)
Yes! Fob sign! I is fobio!
Kathy: (confused &puzzled} What's wrong?
Jason : (waving his hand) Nothing! Nothing!
(Tony steps into the classroom, pointing at Jason)
Tony: (in a loud voice} Jason, you, liar! How dare you play with Kathy's love for you?
Jason: What the hell are you talking about? When did I ever play with her love?
Kathy: (in a wrathful voice) Tony, stop being such a moron, and SHUT UP!
Tony: (in a clam, but angry voice} This time, Kathy, I will proved to you that I am telling the truth. (Waving to someone outside the classroom) Harry, now is your show time!
Victory is mine!
(Jason seemed to be very shocked. He is having cold perspiration --as in great fright} Harry: (walking slowly in) Sorry, Jason. I am just doing the right thing.
Jason: (in vexation} you...%XO#+...traitor.
Tony: (in a firm and forceful way) DON¡¦T interrupt him, let Harry continue.
Harry: OK, {facing Kathy} Kathy, what I am going to say will be too cruel for you... (Kathy stopped him}
Kathy: I can withstand the truth.
Harry: Right then. Actually Jason didn't like you. He is just trying to win the bet between us.
Kathy: What bet?
Harry: (in a low voice} It, it"s about that he has to let you say I LOVE YOU in less than 3 days. If he can then, I will give him NT$1000. {facing Kathy) Sorry! I didn't mean it.
Kathy: (turning to Jason) I take my words back. You, son of a beep! How dare U!!! {slaps Jason across his cheek}
(Kathy runs out of the classroom in tears)
Tony: {in a hurry) You're going to pay back later Jason, I ensured you!! {also runs out to find Kathy)
But didn¡¦t he already get slapped? Hmm...I guess the authors wanted Jason to suffer more. Maybe Jason and I should write a story about those three and make them pay.
Harry: {thinking) HAHAHA!!! Now I dont need to pay Jason, since Kathy doesnt like him anymore.
Cheap.
Scene 6, Act 6
Setting. Kathy is swinging aimlessly on a swing in the soccer field. She seemed so depressed and sad. Then Tony appeared...showing relief when he sees Kathy.
Music. I will do anything for you (BSB)
The days of Backstreet Boys. I remember thinking they were so cool back then. Haha, come to think of it, a friend of mine in college called himself Nick because of BSB. Dork! (That¡¦s you Hsin!)
Tony: {panting, but quietly walk behind Kathy, gently putting his hands on her shoulders) Cry, you will feel better-
Kathy: {turns around and hugs Tony) Oh! Tony! {crying) I should have believed in you from the beginning.
Tony: Never mind, it's OK. {smiled}
Kathy: Oh! Tony. I have been so harsh on you, but you still... {crying even harder) you're so nice to me.
Tony : Of course I care about you no matter what, cause {in a shy voice) I, I LOVE YOU!
Kathy: Ah? Really? Are you going to be like Jason?
Tony: {in a loud, almost angry voice} Of course not, I really like you, ifI am telling a lie, I will...
(Kathy puts her finger on his lips)
Kathy: Stop cursing yourself, I trust in you.
(Then they hug one another)
